HOBBIES
Nowadays, I do not have too much free time since I spend
most of the days ( including the weekends 
)
at my office, in front of my computer. However, there are still several
things I can enjoy with...
I like:
ALL kind of SPORTS
-
For eight years, I was a swimmer taking part in several National
meets and so, I specially love water sports.
-
I also love being in touch with Nature and I have had very
nice times hiking and climbing different
types of mountains in extremely beautiful places.
-
For a short period I also took some ski
lessons,
but very soon I knew that it was not the kind of sport I was made for....
too risky for my taste!!! However, I love ice-skating
(and
roller-skating), although I have not had many opportunities to practise
it since in Spain there are very few places in which you can do it.

I really enjoy dancing....
Ooops!
do not you consider dancing is a sport?!.... well, you must recognize that
it highly depends on how much energy and enthusiasm you devote to it!!!

Of course, I also enjoy watching all kind of sportive events
on TV: Swimming, Athletics, Soccer, Gymnastics, Tennis, Basket, .... My
most favourite years are those with Olympic games, or with Soccer World
Cup, or with World or European Athletics Championships, or .... oh, yeah!
I know, almost every year we have some of these important sportive events
....
I love it!!!
MUSIC
-
I can play piano, although I must confess that I have not
practised much for the last years and so I am about to forget how to do
it. Among the classics, my favourites are Beethoven and Chopin.

As for modern music, I mainly love romantic melodies, although
I also like many other types of music such as American country music.
READING
-
I like novels (preferably including love stories), essays
and poetry.
TRAVELING
So far, and mainly due to my work, I have had great opportunities
to visit several countries when attending scientific meetings. Here you
will find some of the pictures I have taken during these trips. If you
