Multi-revolution composition methods for time-dependent Schrödinger equations

Abstract
In this talk, the error behaviour of the recently introduced multi-revolution composition methods is analysed for a class of highly oscillatory evolution equations posed in Banach spaces. The scope of applications in particular includes time-dependent linear Schrödinger equations, where the realisation of the composition approach is based on time-splitting pseudo-spectral methods. The theoretical error bounds for the resulting space and time discretisations are confirmed by numerical examples. This is joint work with Philippe Chartier and Florian Méhats.
