Exploiting Shape Hessians in PDE constrained Shape Optimization

Shape optimization problems are a special kind of inverse problems which involve a somewhat "exotic" differential calculus - especially in the case of PDE constrained shape optimization. Second order computational optimization methods are rarely applied in that field. In this talk, we discuss, how nevertheless so-called shape Hessians can be exploited for convergence aceleration and try to pave the way for Newton-like approached based on a Riemannian interpretation of shape optimization problems.
